Verification

A number is worth what its proof is worth.

Every performance figure on a Clozer profile carries a grade. The grade says how far that particular number has been taken: typed in, backed by a document a reviewer read, or confirmed against a source the candidate doesn't control.

Grades sit on individual claims, not on people. One profile can hold all three.
Close rate · Jordan MillerVerified

HubSpot pipeline export, twelve months
Q3 commission statement reconciles to the same deals
Employment confirmed independently
Two sources that would have to agree with each other to be wrong together.

Three levels of proof.

The grade is not a rating of the person. It describes what we did to the number, and nothing beyond that.

Self-reported

Shown, labelled, never dressed up

The candidate typed it in and submitted nothing to support it. We publish it as given and mark it, because a blank field tells a hiring team less than a labelled claim does.

What it means for you
Treat it as a starting point for the interview, not a fact
Ask for the figure again in your own screening call
Filter it out entirely if you'd rather not see it

Evidence reviewed

A document, read by a person

The candidate submitted something showing the number, and a Clozer reviewer opened it and checked it against the claim on the profile. If the document says something different, the profile changes to match the document.

What we check
The figure in the document matches the figure claimed
The period covered is the period stated
The sample is large enough for the claim to mean anything

Verified

Corroborated outside the candidate

The reviewed evidence is confirmed against at least one source the candidate cannot edit: a payout record, an employment record, or a second document from a different system that reconciles to the first.

What it takes
Two independent sources agreeing on the same deals
Employment and payout history confirmed separately
Any gap between the two is shown, not smoothed over

What counts as evidence.

Four kinds of document do most of the work. Redact whatever you need to; we care about the figures, not your customers' names.

Commission statements

What you were actually paid, and on which deals. The hardest document to fake and the one we weight highest.

CRM exports

Opportunity-level exports from HubSpot, Salesforce, Close, Pipedrive or GoHighLevel. Gives us sample size, not just the headline rate.

Dashboard records

Payout or performance screens from the platform where the selling happened, where a CRM export isn't available.

Employment records

Confirms the role, the dates and the employer, so the numbers are attached to a job that existed.

Deal under NDA? Redact the counterparty and the contract. We verify the amount, the cycle and the vertical. Nothing a candidate submits is shown to a hiring company — only the grade it earns.

The limits

What a grade does not tell you.

Verification is narrow on purpose. It answers one question well rather than four badly.

What it does
  • Establishes that a past number is real
  • Tells you the sample the number came from
  • Ties performance to a confirmed role and period
  • Lets you filter a search on evidence, not adjectives
What it doesn't
  • Predict how someone performs on your offer and your leads
  • Score personality, coachability or culture fit
  • Replace your own interview
  • Rank one verified rep above another

A verified 29% close rate on enterprise cycles tells you nothing about a two-call coaching sale. The grade makes the number trustworthy. Whether it's the right number is your call.

If you're a sales rep

Get your numbers graded.

Build your profile with the figures you'd defend in an interview.
Upload what supports them. Redact freely.
A reviewer checks each document against each claim.
Each figure carries its grade from then on, and you can upgrade it later by adding a second source.
If you're hiring

Read the grade, then interview.

Filter the network down to the evidence level you're comfortable with.
Read what each claim is based on, not just the badge.
Ask the candidate to walk you through the same deals.
Hand the whole thing to us instead, if you'd rather not run it yourself.

Questions.

Does my current employer find out?

No. Nothing you submit is shared with a hiring company, and your profile can stay private until you choose to be visible. We confirm employment through records, not by calling your current manager.

What if a deal is under NDA?

Redact the customer name and the contract itself. We verify the amount, the cycle length and the vertical. The document stays with the reviewer.

Can a grade go down?

Yes. If a document contradicts the claim, the claim is corrected to match the document before it is published. If evidence ages past the period it covers, the claim reverts to self-reported until you refresh it.

Why show self-reported numbers at all?

Because the alternative is an empty field, which hides the claim rather than qualifying it. Labelling it lets you decide what to do with it, and lets a rep who hasn't gathered their paperwork yet still be found.

Do companies get verified too?

Employers who pass review carry their own indicators — entity and domain confirmed, offer reviewed, lead flow evidenced, compensation checked against deal size. Candidates see them before they apply.

What does it cost a rep?

Nothing. Building a profile, submitting evidence and requesting interviews is free while we build the network.

Numbers with receipts, on both sides of the table.
